WHO IS SIMONE DE PRUYSSENAERE DE LA WOESTIJNE?

1. What is your function? Not just your title,
but what do you do?
I’m International Format Sales Manager at Absolutely Independent. The territories for which I’m responsible are Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Russia CIS, Poland, France and Italy. 

2. How long have you been with Absolutely Independent?
I’ve literally just started. November 14th 2011 was my first day!

3. What did you do previously?
After my studies, I wanted to explore the world
a bit more before “getting stuck in an office”. 
So I travelled to Malaysia and worked there for a year as a scuba instructor. I had a great time living on a small tropical island and diving every day! After a year I decided to go back home and started working at NPO Sales, the international sales agent for the Dutch Public Broadcasters. I mainly focused on documentaries, drama series and youth programs. It was a great learning experience and I worked there for three years, during which I was responsible for several territories.
      
4. What did you study?
I have a Master’s Degree in the social sciences (organizational culture and management).

5. What do you do in your spare time?
Having drinks or dinner with friends, going to the movies and attending concerts. I also love to cook for friends and family! I try to work out regularly but don’t always find the time. When I do, I head for a yoga class or boot camp.

6.What (or who) is your passion in life?
That would be travelling and scuba diving!! And it so happens that these two passions can easily be combined, so I try to visit tropical locations as much as possible :-).

7. What do you like best about your job at Absolutely Independent?
Well, of course I’ve just started but it’s great to join a small and motivated team; they’ve been very welcoming. The job itself is diverse and international and the travelling is an additional plus!
