WHO IS BOUKJE VAN GENT?

1. What is your function? Not just your title, but what do you do?
I’m Personal Assistant to Patty, which means I assist her in every possible way. You could say I’m both her right and her left hand. I make sure she gets a chance to make a cup of coffee for everybody once in a while. I also support the rest of the management team: I book all the appointments, trips and I coordinate the markets,, sales events and creative meetings.

2. How long have you been with Absolutely Independent?
Since February 1, 2011.

3. What did you do previously?
I was a PA/Office Manager for various companies within the games industry, marketing consultancy and cosmetics, to name just a few fields.

4. What did you study, if anything?
After finishing high school I was trained as an executive secretary at Schoevers.

5. What do you do in spare time?
I often go to the movies with my boyfriend and then we sit around for hours discussing the structure of the movie. And I love going to the theater. You can find me at the gym twice a week and I take singing classes. And of course I love spending time with my friends.

6. What (or who) is your passion in life?
I’d say my greatest passion is nature and animals.

7. What do you like best about your job at Absolutely Independent?
I can’t tell yet because I have only just started. But I can say that I really enjoy working in a small, creative team again.
