Absolutely Independent specializes in television formats. From our office in Amsterdam we serve stations from the U.S. to Australia, and everywhere in between. It is always our goal to create the best match between format and television producer or station.

Absolutely Independent was founded in 1996 by Patty Geneste. We were the first independent European company to distribute television formats. Absolutely has now sold over 60 produced formats to clients in more than 50 countries, including the U.S., Scandinavia, Germany, Spain, and, of course, our home base The Netherlands.

Our catalogue is extremely diverse. We represent game shows and prime time shows like The Singing Office (sold into 12 countries, including the U.S.), Battle of the Choirs (sold into 3 countries, including the U.S.), Miss Ability (sold into 5 countries, including the U.S.), and The Phone (sold into 30 countries either directly, or through other agencies).

With equal passion and enthusiasm we represent children's formats like GamePlanets and Love Match and more serious programs like Consumer Investigation Agency, Crisis, The People's Parliament and Smith's Court.

Our agency does not produce its own formats and is therefore Absolutely Independent; this is reflected in the confidence generated by an ever-increasing client base among which are public broadcasters, producers and creative individuals.

Absolutely Independent also offers consulting services for advertisers who want to communicate via television but don't know where to start.
