The European Border Breaker Awards 2011 for FREE!

It's a spectacular awards show! The European Border Breaker Awards 2011 features live performances by this year's -and former EBBA- winners who are now established artists.

Each year in January, crowds of people gather during The European Music Conference and Showcase Festival in the Netherlands for 'EuroSonic Noorderslag'. Over the years this event has evolved into the most important live-music-industry conference in Europe. You'll find 250 new bands and artists. More than 2.500 professional participants and a total of over 15.000 attendees.

Via the European Border Breakers Awards (funded by the EU Culture Program), the European Union and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) wants to showcase ten European artists who have successfully launched a debut album and have toured outside their home territory. The prize aims to stimulate the cross-border circulation of artists' work-and to highlight Europe's great musical diversity.

This year, the 8th edition of the EBBA Awards show is even bigger than before and it's available for free!

Former winners of the European Border Breaker Award include established artists Carla Bruni, Adele, Katie Melua, Damien Rice, The Thrills, Gabriel Rios, The Fratellis, Basshunter, Dolores O' Riordan, Milow and many more.

The winners of the 2011 European Border Breakers Awards (EBBAs) have been chosen by the European Music Office (EMO) in cooperation with the EBU, the Billboard Information Group and the European Talent Exchange Program (ETEP) festivals. This year's winners are:

1. Aura Dion (Denmark)
2. Caro Emerald (The Netherlands)
3. INNA (Romania)

5. Stromae (Belgium)
6. Baseballs (Germany)
