In 40 Days without You, couples with serious marriage problems are separated for 40 days. Their goal: to discover what's wrong with the marriage. With the help of a couple's therapist, the couple is challenged to self-reflect: how can each partner better understand their personal role in the whole problem? This self-reflection helps them-and the therapist-to realize ways to improve their personal lives...including their marriage.

In April, 2010, Absolutely Independent introduced 40 Days without You during MIPTV. The show was optioned in France, Australia, New Zealand and the USA. At present, with the first series of eight episodes still airing on Dutch television, we predict that 40 Days without You will become the Next Big Success for rights owner Pubcaster EO.
