AMSTERDAM, 6 September 2012 – Absolutely Independent has closed an exclusive multiple year deal with Tahitian TV format creator Megasmedia. The deal, effective this month, calls for Absolutely Independent to represent several Megasmedia formats.

The deal once again proves that good formats can come from all corners of the world. Megasmedia is a Production company from Tahiti headed up by Alexandre Taliercio.

It’s the first Polynesian production company ever to step into the international format business.

One of the formats Absolutely Independent will launch upcoming MIPCOM is hit game show Who’s the Genius?  This daily game show scored the best share ever on Polynesian television for a game show. On Who’s the Genius a team of six must answer eight questions, six of which concern the specialist subjects they have chosen in advance. Depending on their performances they’ll receive the opportunity to choose the team member who’ll answer the final question for them. They’ll also decide whether or not to freeze their winnings prior to the last question in order to prevent having to leave the game show empty-handed.

Megasmedia is enthusiastic about the new partnership.
