But when life gets complicated, conflicts can break up an entire family.

In Family Dinner, our fearless host helps families resolve their issues...and get back together.
This Dutch reality format-a winner in its time slot-is all about bringing feuding family members to the table. They have dinner together; talk about their conflict; and (hopefully) finally put that conflict to rest.

During this 50-minute show, the presenter turns up at the home of a conflicted family member. The intention? To surprise him-or her-with an invitation to the family dinner. As of that moment, the big question emerges: Will the presenter succeed in reuniting the two parties? Will they show up? And will they leave the dinner table on speaking terms? Tune in to Family Dinner and find out!

An online, interactive platform called www.sorry.nl supports the show. Website visitors get the chance to discuss-or sort out-their own conflicts and quarrels. This brand (www.sorry.nl) is integrated with the TV show. In each episode, the sorry.nl limousine will be located in a different city where people can leave a ‘sorry' video message. The presenter will tackle one of these video messages. In an attempt to mediate between quarreling family members, he'll provide a dinner coupon and the opportunity to resolve their issues over dinner.

Family Dinner has been on the air since 2000. It's still scoring well above channel-average on Dutch Channel 1.

The format is currently blocked for Australia, the USA, Italy, Finland, Denmark and France but is open for your suggestions in all other territories!
