The Banff International Pilots Competition and Awards honours the raw talent and creativity that goes into the creation of the pilot. Accepting submissions from both "virgin" producers who have never had a show or program broadcast, as well as "veteran" producers with at least one show broadcast on cable, satellite, Internet or in full production - we want to see your new ideas at Banff!
With Absolutely Independent, The Format Agency, our best independently produced pilots will have an opportunity to sign a development contract aiming to transform the honoured pilot into a commercially viable program, no matter that format or genre. It will be up to the rights-owners of the honoured pilot to negotiate with Absolutely Independent.
Absolutely Independent markets TV Lab worldwide and distributed the formats that do not have an international outlet.
