Spice Girl Melanie Brown and former 'N Sync singer Joey Fatone have a new role to add to their strikingly similar résumés: host on the TLC network. The duo will co-host The Singing Office, a tongue-in-cheek singing competition that pits different groups of employees against each other. Both Brown and Fatone were members of chart-topping pop quartets; both finished in second place on ABC's Dancing With the Stars; and both have starred in the play Rent on Broadway.

THE PHONE USA

Singer Justin Timberlake is to be the producer for a new reality game show on MTV, network bosses have said. The programme is based on a Dutch production, The Phone, which routinely kicks off with two hidden mobiles ringing in different locations of a big city. Timberlake is best known for his singing career in boy band N'Sync and now as a solo artist. He has also appeared in several films, including Alpha Dog and Black Snake Moan, as well as voicing a character in Shrek the Third.
