On Valentine’s Day, the Dutch public broadcaster EO will air a special edition of LoveMatch. Instead of matchmaking a teacher the show’s host will fix up one of the children’s parents.

Two hundred kids sent a letter to LoveMatch explaining why their father or mother needs a date. In the Valentine’s Day special, twelve-year-old Koen wants to find his father a lovely girlfriend….

“My father always talks to us about everything. But if he had a girlfriend, he could talk to her! That would be great for us as well….”

LoveMatch can be produced on a low budget and easily scores a 35% market share within the target group of ages 6 to 12 on NL3 (EO).
