We are proud to announce our renewed team for the upcoming MIPCOM and beyond.
 Per September 15th, Gertjan van Valen will join Absolutely Independent as International Format Sales Manager. Gertjan will replace Marieke van Meerten, who will be leaving us to fulfill her dream of taking an adventurous trip around the world!
Gertjan van Valen: “The positive work attitude goes hand-in-hand with a highly professional working ethos within Absolutely Independent. The company helps individual talent blossom on a corporate level. In my opinion, it’s a top-drawer company!”
Patty Geneste: “I am, of course, very sad that Marieke is leaving us, but also totally understand her wish to travel around the world; I’m sure the experience will be superb. Happily, we have found an excellent new Format Sales Manager in Gertjan, who has a very interesting business background. I’m sure he’ll help Absolutely continue to grow in the (inter)national format business.”
Marieke van Meerten: “I have learned so much here, and met so many wonderful people in this job, that I ABSOLUTELY hope to meet you all again one day. In the meantime…think ABSOLUTELY INDEPENDENT!”
Also new at MIPCOM will be Judith Bouwman, our Marketing and Format Sales Executive. Some of you have already met her virtually. Judith will be in Cannes for the first time, so feel free to set up a meeting and show her the real Cannes! Judith’s heart lies with kids’ formats, so she’ll be your contact at MIPCOM Junior.
 As of September 15th, we are welcoming Fabiana van de Paverd as our new Management Assistant/PA. She will also replace Claire during her maternity leave. (fabiana@absolutely.nl)
 Meanwhile, the Scandinavian office is building its business as well: Gabriella Jacobsson joined the company in Stockholm to assist MD Sarah Jelvefors. (gabriella@absolutely.se)
