This is an action organized in benefit of:

One out of every ten soldiers engaged in armed conflicts is a child. Every year, 250,000 children actively fight in wars around the world.
War Child wants to prevent children from joining armed groups. One way to do this is by creating safe havens in violence-ridden societies. This provides children with a place to engage in theatre, rap music, and photography. War Child also cares for children returning from their lives as child soldiers. Offering them a new place in society is a careful and gradual process that requires long-term support.
Become a friend of War Child by helping them take the war out of the children! For more information about War Child and to become a War Child friend, please visit www.warchild.nl or www.warchild.org. You may also contact judith@absolutely.nl
Moses, 25 years old, Gulu, Northern Uganda:
“I wasn’t afraid when we were out pillaging and looting. Not even when the villagers fired back at us. If you dared to return with empty hands, you were killed, anyway. War Child taught me to accept myself again, despite all the terrible things that I had done. I regained confidence in myself, and in other people.”
Instead of sending you our annual Christmas gift, we chose to do something different this year. We want to eliminate the war and leave only the child by making a donation to War Child. Children are the future: it’s up to them to build a peaceful world. Let the Children Play!

Absolutely Independent wishes you a peaceful holiday season with
