Brilliant Brains is a thrilling interactive contest in which we travel through the nation looking for original ideas/inventions that can make our daily lives easier or simply more pleasant!
A jury will first make its selection, but it ultimately comes down to the viewers to choose the winner with the best idea. He/she will win 25,000 Euros and his/her product will also be manufactured.
In the preliminaries rounds all those with "brilliant" ideas will be invited to present these to a jury. However, not all inventors will continue on to the next round. At the end of each episode a few ideas will be eliminated. Only the best ideas, 12 in total, will survive to make it to the next round. In the next two rounds, we get to know the 12 inventors. Products will be tested, some by celebrities. The best six ideas go on to the semi-final during which tough questions are posed: What's in store for the finished product? What's the next step? What about sales? Pricing? Packaging? The size of the market? Each jury member is allowed to send his/her favorite to the finals. The viewers choose a 4th finalist from the remaining top three ideas.
In the final, the 4 finalists get one last chance to ‘sell’ their idea to the viewers. Now it's all up to the viewer alone to choose. The jury may only advise.
