The creators of the successful format Behind the Front have now come up with a youth-oriented version entitled ‘Wanna See My Room?’ In this show, the presenter goes to a school and shows first graders a picture of one of their classmates. He gives them the opportunity to check out his or her room and life. While his or her classmates are sniffing around in their room, the child watches everything from a van and hears the visitors’ reactions and speculations firsthand. At the end of the visit, the first graders are shown a video portrait and learn the unexpected details of their classmate’s life. They may discover that the girl sitting next to them has lost her dad and only lives with her mom, or that the new boy in class was bullied at a prior school. These kids learn that there’s definitely more than meets the eye to their classmates and if you really get to know someone better, it’ll be a lot more fun to hang out together. |
