In Wish You Were Here, the presenter follows young men and women whose loved ones have been living outside the Netherlands. These young couples have recently decided they want to live together in the Netherlands in order to start a new life together. Viewers are able to witness the rewarding but difficult process, recorded over a period of six months, of adapting to a new culture and social environment. Have those who made the move underestimated how they would cope with all the changes? Will their relationship be able to overcome the obstacles? Will their love prevail?
